Anyone have any Florida Christmas Traditions?

I'm trying to write a story for the Slash Advent Calendar about Crichton teaching Crais about Christmas. Since Crichton's a Florida boy (he is, isn't he? I think he is...), I'm looking specifically for any Christmas traditions that might be different in Florida than they are in places where we actually get Winter ;)

Anyone have any info?
